Facebook and the world at large I am sharing this video to expose the excessive force by a Hammond Indiana police officer to my 17 year old niece Jada Glasper…she weighs less than 100 lbs soak and wet she was arrested, choked and punched in the face by a police officer accusing her of Jay walking when she refused the ticket due to her stating to the officer that she hadnt jaywalked…things escalated beyond the scope of the Law… As a concerned aunt and God Mother to my niece I am beyond furious and angry that our youth continues to be subject of discriminating actions by individuals and unregulated law enforcement officers that feel they can harm versus protect every day citizens especially a young 3.8 GPA.. honors student who is just starting to come into her young adulthood. Actions such as these leave me to feel extreme disgust for police officers that continue to display outright prejudices against our African American people. As a media personality and advocate for rights of all people…This will be the first of many public actions and civil rights awareness to combat the injustices to my niece and the many millions of youth such as Trayvon Martin & Mike Brown that’s has fallen victim to racial injustices. I am so blessed to say that Jada is alive and can speak for herself and bear witness to this unlawful treatment that occurred September 3 2014. I am summoning my extended relationships in friendships, family and social circles to share this posting and take action and speak up to put a end to this foolishness. Sincerely…Sabrina Sonny Jones-Smith advocate, producer and media personality of LouddMouth Radio..

such a needed campaign. i wish they’d have included native americans as well, though, as cultural appropriation of them in costumes is just as awfully common.

It’s that time of year again when these go around. And I will keep reblogging them. And if I see the joke ones I am likely to rip them apart with prejudice.

I will reblog this every year and unfollow anyone who posts joke fandom spinoffs of this very serious and important commentary.

the fact that they even needed to campaign this..

panic/anxiety attack

jaspinder:

  • breath in for 4 seconds
  • hold your breath for 7 seconds
  • exhale breath for 8 seconds

repeat once or twice more.

This causes an autonomic nervous system shift from a sympathetic (fight or flight reaction) state to a parasympathetic response.

Use this for panic/anxiety attacks, exams, presentations.

Never not reblog

Tumblr got anxiety advice. Fuck yeah.

Read this earlier, and it helped me a lot tonight.

always re-posting this.

This is a truly amazing story of twin sisters separated at birth who discovered each other at age 25 through social media (see Facebook message above in which Anais reached out to Samantha for the first time). One lives in London and the other in L.A. and the two have shared a close bond since meeting. They recently took a trip together to their birthplace, Seoul, Korea, and now they’re hoping to make a film together about their story. Check out their kickstarter campaign here. Story via buzzfeed.

"I DON’T WANT TO BE TOO LINDSAY LOHAN."

GUYS ONE IS FROM LONDON AND THE OTHER IS FROM CALIFORNIA I DON’T THINK YOU UNDERSTAND HOW PARENT TRAP THIS IS

Need a complicated handshake. You guys. She needs a complicated handshake!
